If you are anything like me, my pets are my babies. I have a 70lb part Shepherd and a Torti Cat, both were adopted rescues We pretty much spoil both of them. I originally ordered the RIOGOO Pet Electric Heating Mat for my dog Riley, however, I soon realized after ordering it, that his butt would be the only thing on the mat 😉 So I decided to get it for my Cat.

It was perfect for her. I don’t know why I thought otherwise, all cats like to snuggle in a warm spot and with the winter coming soon, I knew she would love it. Needless to say I have found her curled up in my grand daughters play pen every night. So I put the Heating mat in the play pen and Yep! She loved it! I love that it is waterproof, which makes it so easy to clean.

The controller has two settings on it, low and high. With our temps in Texas being in the lows of 50 and 60’s I only have it set on low right now. The mat also has an anti bite cord, not that my cat would, but my dog might. I really like this mat and I know it will get plenty of use this winter. My only suggestion would be to have a mat cover. I intend to place a small baby blanket ontop of the mat, but I think it would be cool if the maker of this mat added that, it would be a nice addition to a good product.

When I unpacked these RIOGOO pet clippers I was struck by how much they resemble Panasonic ES series rechargeable clippers. I pulled out some blades and combs I had from an old ES. Sure enough they fit perfectly. I was curious how these would compare to the old clippers, which performed great for years. The Riogoo clippers are nice because they are made for 120V current and don’t require a huge converter block. I let them charge for 8 hours. They have an LED indicator in the clipper body which illuminates red when charging, and turns green when charging is complete. These clippers can also be used corded if there is no time to wait for a charge. These are also rotary clippers so there is no jarring vibration in use. The number 10 blades have steel lower and ceramic upper cutters which are self tensioning. Aside from cleaning and lubrication, they are maintenance free. The clippers come with two reversible combs providing 3,6,9, and 12mm lengths, along with the 1mm blade only cut. I normally use a Laube clipper with number 50 blades to trim my Great Pyrenees paws and pads. I was impressed with how quickly and cleanly this clipper did the job, and without 15 feet of cord or a blade washer. I washed the blades with a mild soapy water and dried them with a hot air drier before oiling them and snapping them back in place. I have only run this set for about a half an hour, but can say that the clippers didn’t bog down cutting out a couple of large mats, nor did they seem to be slowing. These have made a good impression so far. I only wish they were waterproof like my old Panasonic, however they cost 5 times as much. If they continue to perform the same way for a year I’ll be ecstatic. Given the price, features, performance, and cut quality, I would readily recommend these without hesitation. Find out for yourself if there is even anything comparable available in this price range.
